Jun Wei is a filmmaker with a background in producing, editing, and scriptwriting. His work is largely driven by an interest in the quiet and emotional moments that define our private lives. The theme of unrequited love is something deeply personal to him, and he often explores the bittersweet growth that comes from waiting for someone who may never return.

His perspective has been shaped by his time at LASALLE College of the Arts and an exchange program at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Working across different cities taught him how to tell stories that translate across cultures, and it gave him a deep respect for the collaborative nature of film. He was also selected as a finalist for Mediacorp’s Inkspiration programme, a mentorship initiative for emerging Chinese scriptwriters.

Jun Wei hopes to continue to express universal feelings such as loneliness, longing, and the quiet resilience found in everyday life through storytelling.
